Procedure of Tanjore Painting:
- The process of making a Tanjore painting involves several stages-
- The first step is the sketching part. The preliminary sketch of an image is formed o the base.
- The painting base is made of cloth pasted over the wooden base. To make the base stronger, the mixture of chalk powder or zinc oxide with water-soluble adhesive is applied on the base.
- Drawing decoration is the most important aspect. Semi precious stones called Jaipur stones, jewellery, apparels, golf foils and stripes, colorful dyes are pasted on the Tanjore painting.
- Add vivid colors and dyes to make your painting beautiful.
