Making Yarn Dyed Pillow Covers:
A standard yarn dyed pillow cover is made with 1&1/4 yards of 45 inch-wide yarn dyed fabric. The fabric may be washed and ironed before sewing. Out of the fabric, two 25&1/4 inch squares of fabric are cut out. The sides of the fabric are sewn together, keeping one end open. Fabric paint or appliqués may be added to the pillow cover to decorate it. If needed, a zipper may be attached to the open end of the pillowcase. The pillow cover may be further decorated with tassels or beads.
