Making Velvet Pillow Covers: For making velvet pillow covers, first the pillow is measured. The cloth is cut by leaving half inch on all sides of the pillow's size. Two pieces of fabric are cut for the front and back. The wrong sides of the fabric are stitched together leaving a half inch seam. At each corner the sewing is turned and ultimately sewing is stopped at the corner opposite to which the sewing started. The resultant opening is the place through which the pillow is inserted. Once the pillow is inserted, the opening is slip stitched to prevent the pillow from slipping out. In case of making the pillow at home, the stuffing should be of good quality and inserted only a little at a time.
