Towel Sets

A towel is an absorbent fabric used to dry or wipe moisture from something. The surface is dried using a blotting or rubbing motion. Towels can be used for various purposes and not only for drying. They can act as make shift blankets or used as a cover cloth. In some countries, especially Turkey, small towels are carried as handkerchiefs. Various types of towels come in various sizes for various purposes.

Bath Towels: Bath towels are used for drying one's body after a bath or a shower. They are usually rectangular in shape and measure around 30”x60”. Large bath towels are known as bath sheets and smaller bath towels are used as bath mats. Beach Towels: Bach towels are larger in size than bath towels. Beach towels are used more as sheets to lie on than for drying the body. Beach towels are also wrapped around the body for privacy for changing in public areas. Beach towels are often more colorful than bath towels and have cheerful patterns printed on them. Hand Towels: Hand towels are around 30x60 cm and are used for drying hands after washing.

Tea Towels:

Tea towels are square pieces of fabric used for drying dishes. Tea towels are generally made of linen and are at times used as wall decorations in European restaurants.

Foot Towels:

Foot towels are slightly smaller than bath towels and used as floor mats in lieu of rugs, carpets or bathroom mats.
