Nylon Curtain

A curtain, drape or drapery is a kind of window treatment that is hung on doors and windows to block the entry of light, dirt or dust into the room. Nylon is an uncoated fabric and is used as a privacy curtain. A nylon curtain allows considerable passage of light into the rooms. Heat is insulated to a reasonable level in nylon curtains. Nylon is a versatile fabric. It is mostly preferred due to its ability to be patterned into various designs.

Types of Nylon Curtains: Nylon curtains are available in a variety of shapes and sizes. They can be combined with valances. Nylon curtains can also be tied in the center with a ribbon or hash to give it a pretty look.

Nylon curtains are suitable for all seasons. They can be used in almost any room either on the windows or on the doors. As a window treatment a nylon curtain completes the look of a room. Nowadays the demand of nylon curtains has increased mainly due to their availability in bright colors. They have big or small floral, geometric, checked, plain or striped patterns. Custom-made or designer nylon curtains are also available in the markets which are made to suit the taste and preferences of the individual customers.

Maintenance of Nylon Curtains:

Nylon curtains are easily washable and do not need any special treatment. If a nylon curtain acquires a stain it should be first removed with warm water and then washed. Nylon curtains should never be kept overnight in soap-water as this may lead to crumpling of the fabric. Nylon curtains or drapes are preferred for daily use due to its low maintenance cost. After a cold water-wash nylon curtains should be drip-dried to avoid wrinkles and hence ironing. Ironing gives a crisp look to the curtains but they should be preferably steam ironed with a warm (not hot) iron. A nylon curtain not only provides privacy but also blends with the décor of the room to lend the interiors a touch of elegance and color.
