Information on Chiffon
Actually, chiffon is a French word for rag. It is lightweight and has sheen and glamour attached to its appearance. Basically it is made from natural fibers like silk and cotton. Besides, synthetic fibers are also used to make this exquisite material of fabric known as chiffon. Typically, allied with silk and nylon, chiffon has diverse uses. Usually, it has utilitarian purposes. Hence, these are used for dress materials and for making curtains. Chiffon can also be dyed into various other colors. But, if polyester is used to produce chiffon, then it would be a little difficult to dye this particular chiffon. The distinctive feature of chiffon is that it resembles a mesh or a net and so it has see-through attribute. When viewed under a magnifying glass, it shows network of threads.
