Moors originated carpet making around tenth century. Central Asia is home to hand knotted carpets. In fact, Pazyryk Carpet is the earliest known carpet of the world, which was found by Sergei Ivanovich Rudenko around fifth century BC. Anatolian peninsula is home to the earliest knotted carpet produced under Seljuk rule around thirteenth century. There were some oriental carpets too that were found in Europe. Indeed, oriental carpets were spotted in paintings of Italy, France, Netherlands and British. Besides, there are Spanish carpets called the Synagogue carpet, Armorial carpet and Hispano-Moresque carpet.
